Everyone Has a Story Worth Preserving.
People of Noblesville turns real conversations with everyday people into written Story Portraits: heirloom-quality keepsakes that preserve memories, honor lives, and help our community know one another more deeply.
A Story Portrait is a Family Artifact
People of Noblesville is a local storytelling project built around a simple belief: you do not have to be famous, polished, or historically important to deserve to be remembered.
I sit down with people for long-form conversations and turn those conversations into written stories they can keep, share, frame, gift, or pass down.
Some stories are joyful. Some are reflective. Some honor someone who has passed. Some help a family, a business, a teacher, a coach, a neighbor, or a community member feel seen while they are still here. Or honor a loved one who has passed away.
It is like a newspaper article about someone's life, designed to become part of a family's archive.
The Goal Is to Help People Feel Seen.
Seen
Remembered
Connected
Valued
Understood
Many families carry stories they wish they had recorded sooner. People of Noblesville exists to preserve those memories before they disappear, and to help our community know the people who make it what it is.
How the Story Becomes a Portrait
Steps:
1. Start with booking a story conversation.
2. We talk in person, by phone, or by video.
3. I write and shape the story.
4. You review the draft for accuracy and tone.
5. The final piece becomes a digital story, framed Story Portrait, or longer biography booklet.
Choose the Story Portrait That Fits the Moment
Nominate a Local Hero
People of Noblesville also makes space for sponsored and crowdfunded stories. You can nominate a coach, teacher, neighbor, local business, family, volunteer, or someone going through a difficult season.
If selected, their story can be funded by community support. Contributions help cover the cost of the story portrait. Once these stories are sponsored by community support, the honoree will receive the story portrait, a shareable digital copy, and excess funds will go directly to them.
Contribute to the Sponsor Fund
Community contributions help fund sponsored Story Portraits and support the people being honored.
Contributions help fund sponsored Story Portraits and related support for honorees. When a specific honoree campaign receives more than the cost of the Story Portrait, additional funds are given directly to the honoree or used to support future sponsored stories, as described in that campaign.
This is How a Community Remembers Itself
These stories are not only about the past. They are about connection.
When we understand the people around us - the families, workers, teachers, neighbors, business owners, caretakers, volunteers, and friends who make up Noblesville - we become a more thoughtful community.
People of Noblesville is about preserving stories before they disappear and building a community where everyday people are seen as worth remembering.
